Security and protection of your personal data
We regard it as one of our foremost tasks to safeguard the confidentiality of the personal data you provide and to protect it from unauthorised access. We therefore apply the utmost care and the most up-to-date security standards to ensure maximum protection of your personal data.
As a private-law undertaking based in Italy, we are subject to the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Italian data protection law (Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018). We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that data protection regulations are complied with both by us and by our external service providers.
Definitions
The legislator requires that personal data be processed lawfully, fairly and in a manner transparent to the data subject (“lawfulness, fairness and transparency”). To ensure this, we inform you of the individual statutory definitions that are also used in this privacy policy:
Personal data
“Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter “data subject”); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Processing
“Processing” means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
Restriction of processing
“Restriction of processing” means the marking of stored personal data with the aim of limiting their processing in the future.
Profiling
“Profiling” means any form of automated processing of personal data consisting of the use of personal data to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to a natural person, in particular to analyse or predict aspects concerning that natural person's performance at work, economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behaviour, location or movements.
Pseudonymisation
“Pseudonymisation” means the processing of personal data in such a manner that the personal data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information, provided that such additional information is kept separately and is subject to technical and organisational measures to ensure that the personal data are not attributed to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Filing system
“Filing system” means any structured set of personal data which are accessible according to specific criteria, whether centralised, decentralised or dispersed on a functional or geographical basis.
Controller
“Controller” means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data; where the purposes and means of such processing are determined by Union or Member State law, the controller or the specific criteria for its nomination may be provided for by Union or Member State law.
Processor
“Processor” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.
Recipient
“Recipient” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or another body, to which the personal data are disclosed, whether a third party or not. However, public authorities which may receive personal data in the framework of a particular inquiry in accordance with Union or Member State law shall not be regarded as recipients; the processing of those data by those public authorities shall be in compliance with the applicable data protection rules according to the purposes of the processing.
Third party
“Third party” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorised to process personal data.
Consent
“Consent” of the data subject means any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject's wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her.
Lawfulness of processing
The processing of personal data is lawful only if a legal basis exists for that processing. In particular, the legal basis for processing may be one of the following pursuant to Article 6(1)(a)–(f) GDPR:
- The data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes;
- processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract;
- processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject;
- processing is necessary in order to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person;
- processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller;
- processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child.
Information on the collection of personal data
(1) Below, we provide information on the collection of personal data when you use our website. Personal data includes, for example, name, address, email addresses and user behaviour.
(2) If you contact us by email or via a contact form, the data you provide (your email address and, where applicable, your name and telephone number) will be stored by us in order to answer your enquiry. We delete the data arising in this context once storage is no longer necessary, or its processing is restricted where statutory retention obligations apply.
Collection of personal data when visiting our website
When you use our website purely for informational purposes, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security (the legal basis is Art. 6(1) sentence 1(f) GDPR):
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of the request (specific page)
- Access status/HTTP status code
- Amount of data transferred in each case
- Website from which the request originates
- Browser
- Operating system and its interface
- Language and version of the browser software.
Use of cookies
(1) In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and associated with the browser you use, and through which certain information flows to the party that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the internet offering as a whole more user-friendly and effective.
(2) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and operation of which are explained below:
- Transient cookies (see a. below)
- Persistent cookies (see b. below).
Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, which allows various requests from your browser to be assigned to the same session. This enables your computer to be recognised when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.
Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser's security settings.
You can configure your browser settings as you wish and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. So-called “third-party cookies” are cookies set by a third party, and therefore not by the website you are actually visiting. Please note that disabling cookies may mean that you are unable to use all the functions of this website.
We use cookies to be able to identify you on subsequent visits, if you have an account with us. Otherwise, you would have to log in again for every visit.
In addition to cookies, the website uses HTML5 Web Storage (localStorage/sessionStorage), which is stored on your device. These objects store data independently of cookies and have no automatic expiry date. You can delete Web Storage at any time via your browser settings; in private mode, it is removed automatically at the end of the session. We also recommend that you regularly delete your cookies and browser history manually.
We store your selection in the cookie banner, with a version number, in your browser so that the setting is retained on a repeat visit. You can change this selection at any time via the Cookie Policy.
Further functions and services on our website
(1) In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that you may use if you are interested. To do so, you will generally need to provide further personal data, which we use to provide the respective service and to which the data processing principles set out above apply.
(2) In some cases, we use external service providers to process your data. These have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored.
(3) We may also disclose your personal data to third parties if promotional participations, prize draws, contract conclusions or similar services are offered by us jointly with partners. Further information on this is provided when you enter your personal data or below in the description of the offer.
(4) Where our service providers or partners are based in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you of the consequences of this circumstance in the description of the offer.
Integrated third-party services
Hosting
This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus (European Union). The host processes the server log files on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
Request form for the free consultation
The details from the request form (preferred date, type of meeting, topic, first name, last name, business, email, phone, message) are used exclusively to handle your request and to arrange the meeting (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The emails are sent via the Resend service (Resend, Inc., USA); the transfer is safeguarded by the Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission. We record your consent to the privacy policy only with an encrypted identifier, not with your email address in plain text. To prevent misuse, we briefly store the number of requests per connection.
Cookie choice and local storage
Your choice in the cookie banner is stored in the necessary cookie site_cookie_consent. Your selected language and accessibility settings are stored only locally in your browser (local storage) and are not transmitted to us. Statistics cookies from Google Analytics 4 are set only with your consent; this website sets no marketing cookies.
Fonts and external content
All fonts are loaded locally from our server. Without your consent, visiting this website does not load any third-party content. Links to reference websites open third-party pages only after you click them.
Use of our webshop
(1) If you wish to order in our webshop, it is necessary for the conclusion of the contract that you provide your personal data, which we need to process your order. Mandatory information required for the performance of the contracts is marked separately; any further information is voluntary. We process the data you provide in order to process your order. For this purpose, we may pass on your payment data to our house bank. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1) sentence 1(b) GDPR. You can voluntarily create a customer account, through which we can store your data for later purchases. When you create an account under “My account”, the data you provide is stored subject to revocation. You can delete all further data, including your user account, in the customer area at any time.
(2) We are obliged under commercial and tax law to store your address, payment and order data for a period of ten years. However, after two years we restrict the processing, i.e. your data will only be used to comply with legal obligations.
(3) To prevent unauthorised access by third parties to your personal data, in particular financial data, the ordering process is encrypted using TLS technology.
Data protection provisions when using external payment service providers
(1) We offer several payment methods for the use of the webshop and use different payment service providers for this purpose. Depending on which payment method you choose, different data is transmitted to the respective payment service provider. The legal basis for the transmission is Art. 6(1) sentence 1(a) GDPR. Below we list our payment service providers.
PayPal
If you choose PayPal as your payment method, your personal data will be transmitted to PayPal. A prerequisite for using PayPal is the opening of a PayPal account. When using or opening a PayPal account, name, address, telephone number and email address, among other things, must be transmitted to PayPal. The legal basis for the transmission of the data is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing for the performance of a contract).
The operator of the payment service PayPal is:
PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A.
22-24 Boulevard Royal
L-2449 Luxembourg
E-mail: impressum@paypal.com
With the payment option PayPal, you consent to the transmission of personal data such as name, address, telephone number and email address to PayPal. Which further data is collected by PayPal can be found in PayPal's respective privacy policy. It is available at: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full
Newsletter
(1) With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, with which we inform you about our current interesting offers. The goods and services advertised are named in the declaration of consent.
(2) For the registration to our newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after your registration we send you an email to the email address provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. In addition, we store the IP addresses you used and the times of registration and confirmation. The purpose of the procedure is to be able to prove your registration and, if necessary, to clarify any possible misuse of your personal data.
(3) The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. The provision of further, separately marked data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. After your confirmation, we store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6(1) sentence 1(a) GDPR.
(4) You can withdraw your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can declare your withdrawal by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter email, by email to info@uptomade.com or by sending a message to the contact details given in the legal notice.
(5) Please note that we evaluate your user behaviour when sending the newsletter. For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are single-pixel image files stored on our website. For the evaluations, we link the data mentioned under “Collection of personal data when visiting our website” and the web beacons with your email address and an individual ID. The data is collected exclusively in pseudonymised form, i.e. the IDs are not linked to your other personal data, and a direct personal reference is excluded. You can object to this tracking at any time by clicking the separate link provided in every email or by informing us via another contact channel. The information is stored for as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After you unsubscribe, we store the data purely for statistical purposes and anonymously.
Google AdWords tracking, remarketing and Facebook Pixel
Our websites use the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. This function makes it possible to link the advertising audiences created with Google Analytics Remarketing to the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. In this way, interest-based, personalised advertising messages that have been tailored to you depending on your previous usage and browsing behaviour on one device (e.g. mobile phone) can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g. tablet or PC).
You can permanently object to cross-device remarketing/targeting by deactivating personalised advertising in your Google account; to do so, follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
As part of Google AdWords and Facebook Advertising, we use so-called conversion tracking. If you click on an advertisement placed by Google or Facebook, a cookie for conversion tracking is set. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for the personal identification of users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, we can recognise that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to this page.
Children
Our offering is generally aimed at adults. Persons under the age of 18 should not transmit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians.
Rights of the data subject
(1) Withdrawal of consent
Where the processing of personal data is based on consent that has been given, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent before its withdrawal.
You may contact us at any time to exercise your right of withdrawal.
(2) Right to confirmation
You have the right to obtain from the controller confirmation as to whether we process personal data concerning you. You may request this confirmation at any time using the contact details given above.
(3) Right of access
Where personal data is processed, you may at any time request information about that personal data and about the following information:
- the purposes of the processing;
- the categories of personal data concerned;
- the recipients or categories of recipient to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, in particular recipients in third countries or international organisations;
- where possible, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored, or, if that is not possible, the criteria used to determine that period;
- the existence of a right to rectification or erasure of personal data concerning you, or to restriction of processing by the controller, or of a right to object to such processing;
- the existence of a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority;
- where the personal data are not collected from the data subject, any available information as to their source;
- the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, pursuant to Article 22(1) and (4) GDPR and – at least in those cases – meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and envisaged consequences of such processing for the data subject.
Where personal data are transferred to a third country or to an international organisation, you have the right to be informed of the appropriate safeguards pursuant to Article 46 GDPR relating to the transfer. We will provide a copy of the personal data undergoing processing. For any further copies requested, we may charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs. If you submit the request electronically, the information shall be provided in a commonly used electronic format, unless you indicate otherwise. The right to obtain a copy pursuant to paragraph 3 must not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of other persons.
(4) Right to rectification
You have the right to obtain from us, without undue delay, the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.
(5) Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
You have the right to obtain from the controller the erasure of personal data concerning you without undue delay, and we are obliged to erase personal data without undue delay where one of the following grounds applies:
- The personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed.
- The data subject withdraws the consent on which the processing was based pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) or Article 9(2)(a) GDPR, and there is no other legal basis for the processing.
- The data subject objects to the processing pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or the data subject objects to the processing pursuant to Article 21(2) GDPR.
- The personal data have been unlawfully processed.
- Erasure of the personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation under Union or Member State law to which the controller is subject.
- The personal data have been collected in relation to the offer of information society services referred to in Article 8(1) GDPR.
Where the controller has made the personal data public and is obliged pursuant to paragraph 1 to erase it, the controller, taking account of available technology and the cost of implementation, shall take reasonable steps, including technical measures, to inform controllers which are processing the personal data that a data subject has requested the erasure by such controllers of any links to, or copies or replications of, that personal data.
The right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) shall not apply to the extent that processing is necessary:
- for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information;
- for compliance with a legal obligation which requires processing under Union or Member State law to which the controller is subject, or for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller;
- for reasons of public interest in the area of public health in accordance with points (h) and (i) of Article 9(2) as well as Article 9(3) GDPR;
- for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes pursuant to Article 89(1) GDPR, in so far as the right referred to in paragraph 1 is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of the objectives of that processing; or
- for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
(6) Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to obtain from us the restriction of processing of your personal data where one of the following applies:
- the accuracy of the personal data is contested by the data subject, for a period enabling the controller to verify the accuracy of the personal data,
- the processing is unlawful and the data subject opposes the erasure of the personal data and requests the restriction of their use instead;
- the controller no longer needs the personal data for the purposes of the processing, but the data subject requires them for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; or
- the data subject has objected to processing pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR, pending verification of whether the legitimate grounds of the controller override those of the data subject.
Where processing has been restricted under the above conditions, such personal data shall, with the exception of their storage, only be processed with the data subject's consent, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the Union or of a Member State.
To exercise the right to restriction of processing, the data subject may contact us at any time using the contact details provided above.
(7) Right to data portability
You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you which you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and you have the right to transmit that data to another controller without hindrance from the controller to whom the personal data have been provided, provided that:
- the processing is based on consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) or Article 9(2)(a), or on a contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; and
- the processing is carried out by automated means.
In exercising the right to data portability pursuant to paragraph 1, you have the right to have the personal data transmitted directly from one controller to another, where technically feasible. The exercise of the right to data portability is without prejudice to the right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”). This right does not apply to processing that is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
(8) Right to object
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The controller shall no longer process the personal data unless the controller can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Where personal data are processed in order to carry out direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such marketing; this also applies to profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing. If you object to the processing for direct marketing purposes, the personal data will no longer be processed for these purposes.
In connection with the use of information society services, and notwithstanding Directive 2002/58/EC, you may exercise your right to object by automated means using technical specifications.
You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object to the processing of personal data concerning you which is carried out for scientific or historical research purposes or for statistical purposes pursuant to Article 89(1) GDPR, unless the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out for reasons of public interest.
You may exercise your right to object at any time by contacting the respective controller.
(9) Automated individual decisions, including profiling
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing – including profiling – which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. This does not apply where the decision:
- is necessary for entering into, or the performance of, a contract between the data subject and the controller,
- is authorised by Union or Member State law to which the controller is subject and which also lays down suitable measures to safeguard the data subject's rights and freedoms and legitimate interests; or
- is based on the data subject's explicit consent.
The controller shall implement suitable measures to safeguard the data subject's rights and freedoms and legitimate interests, which shall include at least the right to obtain human intervention on the part of the controller, to express his or her own point of view and to contest the decision.
The data subject may exercise this right at any time by contacting the respective controller.
(10) Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement, if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes this Regulation.
(11) Right to an effective judicial remedy
Without prejudice to any available administrative or non-judicial remedy, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority pursuant to Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to an effective judicial remedy if you consider that the rights afforded to you under this Regulation have been infringed as a result of the processing of your personal data in non-compliance with this Regulation.
Use of Google Analytics
(1) This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). The measurement ID used is G-2HGJZT573T.
(2) Google Analytics is loaded only after you have consented to the category “Statistics and marketing” in the cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without consent, no statistics cookies are set and no data is transmitted to Google.
(3) Google Analytics uses the cookies “_ga” and “_ga_*” with a lifespan of up to 2 years. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. The retention of data in Google Analytics is limited to a maximum of 14 months.
(4) We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of our website and to be able to improve it regularly. The statistics obtained allow us to improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user.
(5) Data may be transferred to the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings. Further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Google Ads Remarketing
We use Google Remarketing to address users again in the Google Display Network. Google uses cookies, which are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google then truncates the IP address by the last three digits, so that a unique assignment of the IP address is no longer possible. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide further services associated with website use and internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where third parties process this data on Google's behalf. Third-party providers, including Google, place advertisements on websites on the internet. Third-party providers, including Google, use stored cookies to serve advertisements based on a user's previous visits to this website. Google will in no case associate your IP address with other data held by Google. You can object to the collection and storage of data at any time with effect for the future. The use of cookies by Google can be deactivated by visiting the page for deactivating Google advertising. Please note, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you declare your consent to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner described above and for the purpose stated above. You can object to the collection and storage of data at any time with effect for the future.
No remarketing is used on sensitive website content containing personal data.
Google Ads Conversion
This website also uses Google Conversion Tracking. In this process, Google Ads sets a cookie on your computer if you have arrived at our website via a Google advertisement. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Ads customer's website, Google and the customer can recognise that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to this page. Each Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across the websites of Ads customers. The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Ads customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified. You can object to the collection and storage of data at any time with effect for the future.
Conversion measurement and Custom Audience with the Meta Pixel
The Meta Pixel is a JavaScript code with which conversions can be tracked and optimised and remarketing audiences (Custom Audiences) can be built.
In conversion tracking, the paths taken by users on the website are tracked by means of the specific tracking code, which is personalised with target indicators.
Custom Audience is an audience option with which the website provider can reach people on Meta who have visited their website. These people can be grouped automatically according to their specific actions on the website. This information is transmitted to Meta via the tracking code.
The Meta ID is also recorded in the process. Please note that the personal data of individual users is anonymous to us and is encrypted locally on the system. The data is thus forwarded to Meta in a secure manner, stored and processed there. However, Meta may link this data to your Meta account and also use it for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with Meta's data use policy. Information on Meta's data use policy can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
The encrypted data is used only for the matching process, is not shared with third parties or other advertisers, and is deleted immediately after the matching process has been completed. You can object to the use of the Meta Pixel on the following page: https://www.youronlinechoices.eu
Use of social media plugins
(1) We currently use the following social media plug-ins: [Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Xing, T3N, LinkedIn, Flattr]. We use the so-called two-click solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is initially passed on to the plug-in providers. You can recognise the plug-in provider by the marking on the box, via its initial letter or logo. We give you the option to communicate directly with the plug-in provider via the button. Only if you click on the marked field and thereby activate it does the plug-in provider receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding page of our online offering. In addition, the data mentioned under “Collection of personal data when visiting our website” is transmitted. In the case of Facebook and Xing, according to the respective providers in Germany, the IP address is anonymised immediately after collection. By activating the plug-in, personal data about you is therefore transmitted to the respective plug-in provider and stored there (in the case of US providers, in the USA). Since the plug-in provider collects data in particular via cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies via your browser's security settings before clicking on the greyed-out box.
(2) We have no influence on the data collected and the data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection, the purposes of the processing or the storage periods. We also have no information on the deletion of the collected data by the plug-in provider.
(3) The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (also for users who are not logged in) to display needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must contact the respective plug-in provider to exercise it. Through the plug-ins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with the social networks and other users, so that we can improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Art. 6(1) sentence 1(f) GDPR.
(4) Data is passed on regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there.
